01
Audience-led design
Audience segmentation and journey mapping precede space planning. Decisions about flow, lighting, dwell time, and accessibility are downstream of who is being designed for.
Sector 02
Museums, interpretation centres, libraries, archives, public-facing institutions of all scales. Curatorial intelligence held to the same standard as the architecture.
Position
A museum is not a vessel that is later filled with content. The content and the vessel are designed together, or both are diminished.
We design museums, interpretation centres, and public institutions from the audience brief outwards. The cultural team and the architectural team share the same studio. Curatorial development, exhibition concept, and content direction begin alongside the architectural concept — so the building, the visitor journey, and the narrative are designed in coordination.
How we work in this sector
01
Audience segmentation and journey mapping precede space planning. Decisions about flow, lighting, dwell time, and accessibility are downstream of who is being designed for.
02
Most of our regional commissions are bilingual, often trilingual. Editorial direction and graphic strategy are designed alongside the gallery, not retrofitted to it.
03
Environmental conditions for collections are an engineering problem with cultural consequences. Our engineering team works with conservators from concept onward.
Representative brief
A new interpretation centre serving an archaeological landscape. Cultural strategy, exhibition concept, architecture, and engineering delivered as one commission.
